You don't get if you don't ask!

Too often, consumers accept a price as definitive. But in a world where competition from all corners of the world has intensified and customers can check prices, options and availability from their own PDAs, local retailers are slowly waking up to the fact they have to fight their own corners. As a result, we've achieved a 5% discount off the best internet price on a not-so-cheap vanity unit/taps/basin for the bathroom, a 20% discount off 854.06 kg (!) of top-notch ceramic tiles, and 15% off all light fittings from now until the end of the project. The result? Several hundred quid saved with the minimum of effort, in a matter of two days!
