A slight change in plan...

It may not be ready for the stainless steel roof on Monday, however, the structure is starting to take shape. The floor joists for the new lounge have all been fitted and the walls are up in the utility area. With the main wall sections already on site, we should start seeing the full extent, and height, of the extension over the next few days.

This week's site meeting was a turning-point in the programming of the rewiring, plumbing and heating within of the existing house. The original plan had clearly set out a room-by-room approach to this exercise but after looking at this in more detail, the contractor - in particular the electrical and plumbing "subbies" - have decided they need to do one floor at a time. In other words, we'll first lose the use of kitchen/dining room and then all bedrooms.

We've called-in a magician to make this all happen. His prognosis is not good...
