It's what dreams are made of and nightmares kindled: Most home owners aspire to it; some take a few tentative steps and fewer still are crazy enough to go the full hog! The big test

One of the critical design issues since the start of the project has been the height of the garage. The brief is undisputed: create sufficient clearance height for a large 4x4 vehicle to enter the garage without slicing off the roof - of either the car or garage! Yesterday morning, this was put to the test.

Reversing the Jeep down a very steep, muddy slope, still to be graded and levelled at the entry from the main road - and with JCB on stand-by to pull us out - there was a moment of deep contemplation...

The great news is that the garage easily delivers to brief. Now the challenge is to level the rest of the driveway to ensure a safe exit onto the public road.
