And the excavations go on...


They've lost count, but at 15 tonnes of rubble for each 16 tonnes truck, there is little wonder the pavement is starting to give way. Shipping the rubble off to be crushed and recycled into hardcore, the demolition team has excavated several hundred tonnes over the last few days. All structures have been removed, including the electricity cupboard and various storage areas. The digging continues for a few more days, though, to ensure we get down to a level where the team can start thinking about foundations and drains.
