Containers arrive

The new sewage pipes have been covered by gravel and prep work for the "belts and braces" structural underpinning has started. Over the next few days, the guys will be digging 40x100cm deep pits under the existing foundations, which will be filled with high-grade concrete. This should prevent any potential movement in the gable wall. And the latest feeling of "real" building site has arrived with the delivery of two massive steel containers for storage and staff facilities. They were due to be delivered at the start of the project, however, the contractor had to obtain permission from the local authority, gas, electricity and telecoms networks before placing these on the public highway.
